As a graphic designer,the amount you can make as a professional has no limit especially if you know how to generate income through business ideas. Many designers does not know how to generate income with their talent, because they fail to tap into the resources they have. 

To earn more money with graphic design, you have to look inward to other things that you can do, apart from only design that still go hand in hand with graphic design. You can acquire more skills to complement your graphic design skill or go into business that relate to graphic design.

As a graphic designer you can venture into the following business to earn more money;

1. Graphic  Design Training 

As a graphic designer that have an  in depth knowledge of design by using Adobe Suite, Coreldraw etc, offering graphic design training is one of the best way you can use to make money. There are people that want to learn design as part-time job or people that just want to have knowledge of it or that doesn't have money to go to design school, and if they know that you can train them, then you can make money from it as an instructor. It can be classroom training depending on their number or one on one as the case may be

2. Greeting Cards

Design and sale of greeting cards is also one of the best way you can use to make money as graphic artist, since you are designer that can design card for clients, why not design cool and beautiful greeting cards for birthday, graduation ceremony, wedding anniversary and so on, then print them and sell  it your self or look for somebody that can help you to market them.

3. Teach Graphic Design Online

I talked about graphic design training earlier, for people around your neighborhood. Here is another way to make money as graphic designer, write out some of the steps to get some design done and post it online for sale. In this case you are reaching out to different people across the word and you are still making your money. Many people are out there that want to learn design on their own and some designer that get stuck with a project that need a break through. Having it online will help them and it will also earn you cool money.

It is not advisable to limit yourself to only graphic design as I point out in my introduction paragraph, Since those that are into video coverage always work with graphic designers, then with your knowledge of graphic design, you can learn video editing if not video coverage and let people know that you can do video editing. You can get people that can do video cover for you and you will be the one that will do the editing, with this you will still generate more money as video editor.

5. Creating Montage

As a graphic artist another thing that will help you generate more money for your business is to create montage for video production companies. Since you are graphic designer and you are also video editor then creating montage is another way to get more money. You can also be a freelancer for video production company and they will be paying per hour or per project, depends.

6. Printing 

As a designer you can start your own printing press by buying machine to print your clients work out as soon as you finish them. Though you might not be able to buy the big machine for the real printing press at start, but you can start from small one and as time goes on, if you make it a priority you will get there. Printing some of your work after design will earn you more money at the end of the day.

7. Printing materials 

Lastly, as a designer you can start selling printing materials for your colleagues and other people who might be in need of it. this is another way to make money as a graphic designer.
